1800 Calorie Meal Plan
For taller or more active adults, or anyone stepping down gradually from a higher calorie intake without feeling deprived.

This 1800 calorie meal plan is built for people who need more food than the lower tiers but still want a clear deficit. Breakfasts sit near 450 calories, lunches near 630, dinners near 540 and two snacks add about 180 — enough to fuel workouts and busy days while still losing weight.
The week uses the same building blocks as our other plans — lean protein, whole grains, beans, vegetables, fruit, healthy fats — just with larger portions and a few extra add-ons like nuts, seeds and avocado. Every day is spelled out so you can shop once and repeat.
Portion guide
These portions land near 1,800 calories per day. To move down toward 1,600, trim grains by 1/2 cup (90 g) per main meal and remove one snack. To move up to 2,000, add 1 oz (28 g) protein plus 1/2 cup (90 g) grains or an extra fruit at two meals.
7-day meal plan
Breakfast is about 25% of daily calories, lunch about 35%, dinner about 30% and two snacks make up the rest. Nutrition values are approximate.

Frequently asked questions
Who is an 1,800 calorie plan for?
It fits taller or more active adults, people with physically demanding jobs, and anyone who has been eating well above 2,000 calories and needs a gradual step down. If your weight does not budge after three to four weeks, reduce portions slightly or add movement.
Can I still lose weight eating 1,800 calories?
Yes, if your maintenance intake is above 1,800 — which is common for men and for active people. Weight loss depends on the gap between what you burn and what you eat, not on the number itself.
Do I need protein powder for this plan?
No. The smoothie is there for convenience. You can replace it with a yogurt bowl, cottage cheese and fruit, or three eggs with toast and still hit a similar calorie and protein total.
